Yesterday you watched some interesting videos. I want to emphasise Wiston Churchill's speech, especially in those times when WE need to keep united to FIGHT the coronavirus,...just like in the past they were united against a common enemy.
Two curiosities: 1. Churchil had a speech impediment,...maybe you have already noticed! 2. There is a recent movie, "The darkest hour" in English and "Churchill" I think in Spanish that I highly recommend you if you want to learn more about him.

MODAL VERBS: We are going to start a Grammar unit on MODAL VERBS. As the words says, they indicate a modality, a manner, so we are going to learn these verbs from that point of view, from what they mean, thier FUNCTION.
Grammatically, MOST MODAL verbs have three things in common:
1. They are also auxiliary verbs so they don't need another auxiliary to ask the question or make it negative: Can you cook? No, I cannot
2. They are followed by infinitive without "to"
3. There is no difference between the first or the third person singular: I must study harder /He must study harder
Throughout the presentation pay attention to the exceptions!
TASK 1: In the weebly- Coursebook-Unit 5, look at the first part of modal verbs (only the first PPT). Do the activities in the slides in your google folder!
